That said, some states may have more restrictive requirements in place. For example, it's possible that a state may only allow experience obtained in the last seven years. Or states may only allow experience where applicants have maintained their workfiles, so if an applicant doesn't have records over, say, 5 years old, a state may choose not to allow that experience.
Therefore, it's important to check with the applicable state appraiser regulatory agency to find out if there are any restrictions on allowable experience.
