Assignment results are an appraiser's analyses, opinions, and conclusions. Since a floor plan or room layout is a fact, not an opinion, it would not be part of an appraiser's assignment results.
To qualify as confidential information under USPAP, the client must have notified the appraiser that the information provided is confidential, and the information must not be publicly available from another source. So unless the floor plan or room layout met both these tests, it would not be considered confidential.
Outside of USPAP, there may be specific laws (federal, state, or local) that classify certain information as confidential, but that varies on an assignment-by-assignment basis. Therefore, the appraiser would need to ensure that even if the information is not deemed confidential under USPAP, that it also wouldn't violate any other applicable privacy laws.
